Where
did it all begin?
Johnsy Gonzales "The Whisper" was born in
Peru, country of History, Culture
and Indegenous Tradition; descendant of the Ancestral
INKA Culture, which
lodges within its lands the world's wonderful, MACCHU
PICCHU (Cuzco-Peru).
Johnsy G. learned how to play wind native intsruments
by himself, developing
his skills, abilities and creative capacity. Using
these musical
instruments, not only to create, compose and interpret
native melodies of
the Americas, but also introducing these intsrumehts
in the styles of
Comtemporary Instrumental, Native American, Smooth
Jazz, New Age and other
styles, demonstrating the versatility of these instruments.
Johnsy G. entered the Music
World in 1984 with the group LATINOAMERIKA. In
1986 created and funded the group KOTOSH, where he
released a recorded
production. Later, he entered a group called PROYECCION
ANDINA. This time he
got the opportunity to travel to Germany and Austria,
shortly thereafter, he
created the group MANU, and they toured different
parts of Europe (Germany,
Poland, etc). Johnsy G. also released a musical production
with MANU in
Germany. He also traveled to Singapore to perform.
At this point in his
artistic career, he signs for SONY Music Entertainment
- Peru, as a
composer.
After this, Johnsy G. came to the united States where
he's captivated by the
Native American Music which led him to a new creativity
with his music.
WHAT
DOES HE DO?
Johnsy
G. specializes in bamboo - wood. Wind Native Instruments
of the
Americas such as: Zamponas (Zanca, Malta, Chili, Chromatic
Panpipes), Toyo
(Contra Bass), Traverse Native Flutes (Renaissance
Flute), Pan Flute, Quena,
Quenacho (Any key), North American Flutes (Krestel,
Merlin, Whitetail Hawk,
Golden Eagle, Condor Bass, Contra Bass Flute.)
Today, he is dedicated to the
making of wind native instruments, and to make
music with these. This work takes place in different
states of North
America, bringing through this ART, CULTURE and demonstrating
the greatness
of these Ancestral Native Instruments. |
