Where did it all begin?
Johnsy Gonzales "The Whisper" was born in Peru. He entered the music world in 1984 with LATINOAMERIKA, a group in which he released a recorded production. During this year he entered the National School of Folk Music of Peru.
In 1986 Johnsy G. created and founded the group KOTOSH, a group that consisted of 6 members that toured for 7 years around different countries. Later he entered a group called PROYECCION ANDINA. This time he got the opportunity to travel to Germany and Austria, shortly thereafter, he created the group MANU, and they toured different parts of Europe (Germany, Poland, Holland, Denmark, etc.) Johnsy G. also released a musical production with MANU in Germany. He also traveled to Singapore to perform. At this point in his artistic career, he signs for SONY Music Entertainment as a composer.
After this, Johnsy G. came to the united States where he's captivated by the Native American Music which led him to a new creativity with his music.
Where does he do?
Johnsy G. specialized in bamboo - wood. Wind Native Instruments of the Americas such as Zamponas (Zanca, Malta, Chili, Chromatic Panpipes), Toyo (Contra Bass), Traverse Native Flutes (Renaissance Flute), Pan Flute, Quena, Quenacho (Any key), North American Flutes (Krestel, Merlin, Whitetail Hawk, Golden Eagle, Condor Bass, Contra Bass Flute.)
Today, he is dedicated to the making of wind instruments, and to make music with these, releasing until now 6 musical productions. This work takes place in different states of North America, bringing through this ART, CULTURE and demonstrating the greatness of these Ancestral Native Instruments.
